Beach Combo

This is a great find! There is a lot of thought and passion that went into creating a welcoming, comfortable, and unique environment. Great split between sleeping spaces, good amount of room. Michael was an excellent host, friendly, quick to respond, and providing all info needed. The location is superb, nice spot on the coast! I would not hesitate to recommend and/or stay again.

We called Michael's place the 'surf shack', and enjoyed our stay. It was nice to walk to the local restaraunts, and to be able to walk to the uncrowded beach. The place is eclectic and simple, but felt comfortable and safe. Just right for taking our two grandsons on a Santa Cruz adventure. Michael and the other guests were welcoming and nice.

Thank you so much for a lovely first stay in Davenport,+ for being such a friendly + responsive host Michael! And it was so nice literally being across from the shore (as well as having the neighboring restaurant).

We enjoyed our pandemic get away to Michael’s rustic cottage. Plenty of space. Brightly painted rooms with nice tile in the bathroom. Comfy bed. Claw foot tub with shower. Deck with nice chairs and a small upper deck with a view of the ocean (accessible by steep ladder/steps). Parking in front. Despite being on the highway, we did not find it noisy ( well, except for the teams of Harley riders 😍). We did all of our cooking for a week and enjoyed the smart tv and good internet connection for Zooming.

We were looking for a relaxing place to see some sights and still social distance. This was perfect. We had anything in the kitchen we needed, the space was perfect for the two of us but could accommodate more, and Michael could not have been more kind and helpful. We would love to return!

A scenic view and larger than expected, a charming place for adventurers! Right next to several restaurants and a mini market, this place is a good fit for anyone looking to get away. Less than a mile from Shark Fin Cove, you can also walk down the cliff to another beach right across the street. We will be visiting again!

Loved this location! A short drive from panther beach and with a beautiful view of the ocean. Michael was a fantastic host and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend and would love to stay again!

The perfect place for a peaceful escape right on the beach. We stayed her while moving our daughter back to UC Santa Cruz and it felt like we were in another world!

Great location! Restaurants and the beach are close by. We had the entire apartment to ourselves (family of 4) and found it to be spacious. Love the ease of the place. Easy check in and out and appreciate the communication from our host. It was a nice, quiet stay. Loved the cats in the garden/art space. Artwork was amazing too.

The location was pretty perfect for us to visit several places in Cali. A good day trip to San Fran, day trip to Monterey, and close enough to Santa Cruz to grab some groceries for dinner. I wish we’d had more time to check out the local produce stands and ferret out a way down to the beach. All in all a great little place. Michael was so great in finding some special activities for my boys-he set up a mini air hockey table for them and some sidewalk chalk.

Artistic filled and inspiring location right off Hwy 1, the view from ground level and the top floor both allow for deep dozing off as the ocean waves back. Great fishing around and Michael knowledge of the area and vast area of subjects is an added local bonus!
